This is a Plane That Crashes Emerging from the burgeoning post-emo scene with something original is no easy feat. In TIAPTC's case emotional punk seems to have fallen from the sky like burning wreckage and exploded in some weird Louisiana bayou. The survivors have crawled and scampered to safety finding comfort in traditional folk forms. Accordian, banjo, zither and tambourine emerge as the new rhythms and harmonies of a counter culture band countering counter culture. "The four members of Plane all hail from diverse backgrounds, which encouraged them to challenge traditional musical genre's through the creation of hybrid sounds. Overpowering reverb, torrential noise squalls and the gentle lilt of lead vocalist Rene Hormquvist gives TIAPTC a unique sound and a distinctive quality. Their willingness to examine music outside the "normal" pop sound makes them a totally fresh listening experience." -NME "8 out of 10, watch for these guys"- ARV Music Review, Stockholm. |
